This baby changing station I have made for my friend, he just had a baby and needed something that would go next to the crib. I got my hands on some old and rustic looking wood that was a part of a wooden flooring, and the rest of it comes from a pallet.
Two colours- red mahogany and dark walnut make an interesting combination, especially on the top mosaic. There is a need for a sturdy piece of plywood underneath of the mosaic to keep it all strong and intact. The carcass is made by keeping the original flooring construction-cut in one piece and stained few times to give it a dark colour.
The rails that go along the top are removable, when the baby is big enough and no need for them, all you have to do is unscrew them and take them off.
Fun project though.
